I am obsessed with the brain and learning. After majoring in neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, I went straight to a PhD program in neuroscience at the University of Iowa. After completing my PhD in May of 2017,  I turned my focus to what I see is one of the major issues facing science and technology today: effective communication. I taught myself to create illustrations, infographics, and animations that explain complicated or technical information in effective ways.
